In other Winnie news, she's not going to be too pleased with me on Monday. I've booked her in at the vet for her booster shots and a check up. Last time she went to the vet I got told she was the second worst cat he'd ever treated. :(

Needless to say, I'm taking her to a different vet this time. She might very well be the second worst cat to treat in the world but they don't need to tell me that, right? Besides, you've seen photos of her. How can she be that bad?

I'm working a short day from home today because this afternoon I'm heading off for a weekend in Tasmania with a high school friend. We're going to see one of our favourite bands from high school, 1927, play in both Launceston and Hobart.

And because everything can be linked to Supernatural here's a Supernatural fan vid from You Tube featuring one of 1927's songs - Compulsory Hero.




Compulsory Hero was from the album ...ish and was a Top 20 hit for the boys back in 1989. Twenty years ago!

Hence, 1927's 20...ish Year Anniversary Tour of Australia. \O/

I'm leaving at 1:00PM which means I won't get a chance to watch SPN 5x10 until Sunday! :( It's going to be absolute torture. I'll probably avoid being online so I can avoid spoilers (or any more spoilers than I know). Poor little Winn doesn't like the heat any more than I do. It's been over 30°C for the past five days and Winnie doesn't cope too well.

I'm not sure whether the heat exhausts her so much or the tiled floor cools her, but she'll often lay flat on her tummy to eat. It's kind of funny watching her try to get her head over the edge of her bowl to get some biscuits out.

Precious is pretty much a permanent fixture these days. She goes home to eat and at night but she seems to spent a lot of time hanging out with Winnie.

This adorable little bunny is Chilli. Chilli escaped from the next door neighbour's house and decided hanging in the backyard with Winnie was the cool thing to do.

In an effort to avoid filling out performance reviews for co-workers I have booked a flight to Tasmania, researched new cameras, refreshed Twitter 234,876 times, updated work phone lists, actually done some work, and now I'm posting a poll.

Unfortunately, I don't have much luck when posting polls so it might not even work but I'll give it shot. 

I'm thinking of making a t-shirt to wear to All Hell Breaks Loose 2 convention in Melbourne next year. Jim Beaver, Misha Collins, and Samantha Ferris are all coming down under to visit us. For what I'm thinking of I need one or two short words to describe each of the characters. For example, Bobby = Cantankerous, Ellen = Kick-ass, Castiel = Rebellious.

On the way home from work today - real late - I suddenly remembered it was Winchester Wednesday.

'Aw, hell naw', I thought, 'I haven't taken any photos of Winnie ALL week... What should I do?'

Anyway, this was going to be it. I was just going to draw the picture and leave it at that, however, I felt guilty not having taken any photos of her this week, so I took a snap shot anyway. :D

Has it ever been revealed if there is any significance behind the Impala's current number plate - CNK 80Q3?

When it changed I remember clutching at straws and coming up with;

CN = Canada
K = Kripke
80 = 80s music they play so much of
Q3 = Question if there was going to be a season 3.

I don't remember ever hearing anything 'offical'.

Last weekend I took a little road trip to Sydney. Melbourne Storm (my team) were playing Parramatta Eels in the National Rugby League (NRL) Grand Final. Storm won 23-16 to claim their THIRD Premiership in only 11 years! We rock! To make victory twice as sweet, the Melbourne Storm junior team, The Thunderbolts also won their Grand Final.

Thanks to munibunny for the virtual fireworks to celebrate our win!

We're in our seats at ANZ Stadium - row 2, behind the goals. For season pass seats, these seats would kind of suck. Rugby League is definitely best viewed from the side. However, for a Grand Final, they are perfect! W'e close to the action, especially any try action which happens down our end.( Read more... )

I mentioned yesterday we were staying overnight at Goulburn and that it was home to a big sheep.

Well, here he is - The BIG MARINO!

Another two hours and we'll be in Sydney.

We've reached the halfway point between Melbourne & Sydney - Tarcutta. ( Read more... )

On my way to Sydney for the NRL Grand Final to see Melbourne Storm take on the Parramatta Eels.

The drive to Sydney is about 10 hours (1000kms). I'm on my own for the first 4 hours before meeting friends in Wodonga an driving up the rest of the way with them.

Keeping with tradition of all road trips, first stop was 7-11 for a Slurpee.
