This is Precious & Winnie. This is what they do. They 'play' fight. Their bouts usually last about 2-3 seconds and there's never any sign of claws or hissing. Not sure if they're are keeping score but I think if they were, Precious would be winning.


Jensen & Jared at Supernatural's 100th Episode celebrations. They play Winchesters so it stands to reason they can totally be included in Winchester Wednesday. *nods*

It's only 50 days until work!bff and I leave for the USA and CON-Con (Leverage convention). We've planned four chock-a-block weeks, filled with Leverage, driving, sightseeing, music, and lots of fun.

I don't think I've actually mentioned anything about going to CON-Con (Leverage Con) on LJ. I know I've mentioned it on Twitter, where it all kind of originated, but not here. Dean Devlin tweeted about it, Timothy Hutton retweeted about it, and before I knew it I was looking up the best ways to get from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia to Portland, Oregon, USA. My first stop was Google Maps which told me it was a journey of 21,635 km and it would take me about 54 days 12 hours. This included 16,083 km of kayaking from Darwin, across the Pacific Ocean, to Japan then on to Oregon, via Hawaii. As adventurous and exciting as that all sounded, we've opted for the quicker and much less strenuous option of flying. :)

Work!bff and I have decided to make the most of being in the USA and extend our time spent there to four week. We are still finalising the finer details of our plans but here's what we have so far.

So, that's it. That's our trip. It changes practically everyday so I have no doubt by the time it actually arrives, it will be slightly different again.

One thing that won't change is that we are going to see so much of the country and I can't wait! This will be my fourth time to USA and I'm very excited about being able to visit so many new places, and revisit some old favourites (New York and Boston).

It's got to the stage now where it's not that far away so it's on my mind constantly but it's not close enough that I can start getting into holiday mode. I know it will be here before we know it but waiting for it is going to be so hard. :)

My nephew, has created a website for his sister's cat - Ginger the Grey Cat. He thought Ginger may have been jealous of Winnie having Winchester Wednesday. ;)

Winnie & Precious (aka. Ginger)

Percious is a daily visitor now. Almost every morning she is waiting for Winnie to come outside to play (Winnie isn't allowed outside at night). If Precious is around when Winnie decides she's hungry and wants to go inside for a quick snack, Precious will wait by the glass door, just watching Winnie. I think Precious would like to move in. :)

In other Winnie news, she's not going to be too pleased with me on Monday. I've booked her in at the vet for her booster shots and a check up. Last time she went to the vet I got told she was the second worst cat he'd ever treated. :(

Needless to say, I'm taking her to a different vet this time. She might very well be the second worst cat to treat in the world but they don't need to tell me that, right? Besides, you've seen photos of her. How can she be that bad?

I'm working a short day from home today because this afternoon I'm heading off for a weekend in Tasmania with a high school friend. We're going to see one of our favourite bands from high school, 1927, play in both Launceston and Hobart.

And because everything can be linked to Supernatural here's a Supernatural fan vid from You Tube featuring one of 1927's songs - Compulsory Hero.




Compulsory Hero was from the album ...ish and was a Top 20 hit for the boys back in 1989. Twenty years ago!

Hence, 1927's 20...ish Year Anniversary Tour of Australia. \O/

I'm leaving at 1:00PM which means I won't get a chance to watch SPN 5x10 until Sunday! :( It's going to be absolute torture. I'll probably avoid being online so I can avoid spoilers (or any more spoilers than I know). Wow! FIFTY WINCHESTER WEDNESDAYS! :D



Poor little Winn doesn't like the heat any more than I do. It's been over 30°C for the past five days and Winnie doesn't cope too well.

I'm not sure whether the heat exhausts her so much or the tiled floor cools her, but she'll often lay flat on her tummy to eat. It's kind of funny watching her try to get her head over the edge of her bowl to get some biscuits out.
